Senior AWS Solutions Architect

Optimoz is looking for a Senior AWS Solutions Architect to setup and maintain AWS Cloud Infrastructure Automation, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment of multiple Java applications for our client company. You will be creating and maintaining fully automated CI/CD processes for multiple Java/J2EE environments, writing/ maintaining build and deployment scripts and helping to improve agility and quality of software delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Setup and support AWS Infrastructure automation utilizing AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, ECS, Cloudformation Templates, Cloudwatch
  • Setup and support Infrastructure as Code practices to create multiple environments in AWS cloud
  • Setup and support automated Continuous Integration utilizing tools like Chef, Jenkins, Gradle, Shell Scripts, AWS CLI/API
  • Setup and support automated Continuous Deployment to multiple environments utilizing tools like Chef, Jenkins, Gradle, Shell Scripts, AWS CLI/API
  • Setup and support Devops policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance

Requirements:

  • 5+ Years of relevant experience
  • Required Professional Level AWS Certified Solution Architect Certification
  • Ability to excel within an Agile environment
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools such as Chef, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Java, Ruby
  • Ability to code and script utilizing Chef, Jenkins, Ruby, Gradle
  • Solid experience with AWS Cloud services including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, ECS, Cloudformation Templates, Cloudwatch
  • Soource Configuration Management and code branching/merging strategies with GIT
  • Hands-on experience with Linux
  • Experience with Open Source Repository Manager – Sonatype Nexus
  • Experience with systems and IT operations
  • Comfort with with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
  • Strong grasp of automation tools
  • Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders

Clearance Required: Must be a US Citizen, Clearable for Public Trust
Education: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline or experience.
